Arts Advocates needed at Tuesday, July 20th Council Meeting

At Tuesday's (7/20) 2 p.m. City Council meeting, the recommendations for how American Rescue Plan funding should be used to support the business community will be presented to the full City Council. Please plan to call or email (see link below) to express how the Arts and Culture sector need to be included in the plans for businesses revitalizing Sacramento’s creative economy. The Arts ARE BUSINESS and ARTS DRIVE BUSINESS DOWNTOWN. The Arts and Culture Sector is asking for multiyear funding of 15 million to help stimulate the economy as we know the Arts contribute to tourism and foot traffic downtown to restaurants, bars, etc… The average person spends $31 dollars on food and drink when going out to an artistic or cultural event.

Please note at the top of the meeting agenda the instructions to join the City Council meeting via Zoom.
