Ali Youssefi Project
MISSION:
The purpose of the Ali Youssefi Project is to create meaningful opportunities for artists and creatives in Sacramento and beyond. Our project aims to nurture creatives from a diverse range of backgrounds with a particular focus on underrepresented perspectives and voices.
HISTORY/INFORMATION:
The Ali Youssefi Project was created in 2019 in memory of Ali by his family. Ali Youssefi was a humanitarian and deep lover of art. He was dedicated to harnessing the power of a community through its people, and this project aims to bridge his passions with his philanthropic spirit. We are humbled to honor Ali and the incredible work of his life in this way. Ali Youssefi was a proud Sacramentan who loved giving back to his city and supporting others in their success. The Ali Youssefi Project honors him by providing people with an opportunity to participate in community and dedicate themselves to their passion.
AYP was founded by Ladi Youssefi and Azzie Youssefi. In 2019, We launch launched our inaugural project—an Artist in Residency Program, the first of its kind in Sacramento. Our residency program provides visual artists financial support along with time and space to concentrate on their work.
