Our mission is to provide access to the tools, training, and mentorship for creative individuals to think big and realize their dreams.
HISTORY/INFORMATION
Since 2012 Hacker Lab has operated maker space, entrepreneurship and workforce development programs to provide equitable access to tools and resources for creative people in the Sacramento region to think big and realize their dreams.
There are three primary outcomes that Hacker Lab measures related to economic and workforce development: 1) Creation and growth of new startup and freelance businesses, 2) Job placement from exposure and skill development 3) Enrollment in college programs from exposure and hands-on project based learning. Hacker Lab’s unique combination of physical maker space, advanced tools and equipment, training and mentorship, and community partnerships has fostered 100’s of new business, career shifts, and innovative projects.
