Placer Repertory Theater

MISSION:

The mission of Placer Repertory Theater is to offer educational and quality-of-life enriching professional performing arts and cultural programs relevant to the people of Placer County, while supporting local organizations and acting as an economic engine for the area.

HISTORY/INFORMATION:

Placer Repertory Theater acknowledges that in Placer County (from Roseville to King’s Beach), we gather on the traditional land of the Maidu, Nisenan, Miwok and Washoe People and honor with gratitude the land itself and the people who stewarded it throughout the generations, including the Maidu and Miwok of the United Auburn Indian Community and the Washoe of Lake Tahoe. Unofficially, Placer Rep began in 2019, and in April 2020 became a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, despite the emergency of COVID 19. We pivoted from a stage season to a season of livestreaming and digital recording of theatrical performances written, directed, produced and performed by local area professional artists and creatives. We serve all of Placer County, and the greater Sacramento Area. Our goal: We seek economic growth through the incubation and development of voices and works reflective of the community we serve, as we champion partnership and cultural exploration across a breadth of disciplines within the arts, culture and humanities.
