Placer County Board of Supervisors Meeting

Every two years, Placer County reviews the Arts Council of Placer County contract and funding for the arts. We encourage artists, grant recipients, and art lovers to show your support for county funding for these initiatives by attending the next Board of Supervisors Meeting and submitting a public comment.

In the last fiscal year, $100,000 has been regranted to serve a total county population of nearly 400,000.  We encourage you to submit a public comment expressing the importance of maintaining or increasing the available funding for the Arts Grants that are distributed to a range of artists, educators, and arts & culture organizations throughout Placer County.  As one of the most severely impacted industries of the Covid-19 pandemic, funding for the arts & culture sector is more important than ever.

The meeting is held on Tuesday, May 25th at the “Domes” in Auburn beginning at 9:00am, with the ACPC Executive Director presentation slated for 10:15am on the agenda.
